I never post a lot...so this post will cover A LOT! McKay and I have come to love the pool, and have been going many times a week. But, we went up the gateway to play in the fountain and surprisingly he wasn't too thrilled. These are so pictures and a video. He was daring enough to go in the center, but as soon as the water started going he just jetted for the exit. It was hilarious. I admit, I have shown this to a few people and it wasn't that funny to them. So, no biggy. I'm the mom, I'm entitled to Laugh Hysterically at my children.
So ENJOY
McKay and Kaden in the water. McKay is screaming bloody murder into his hands
Again, with the screaming. I think he had a Love/Hate relationship with the water. He wanted to be in there but, he was just telling the water not so shoot up and get him!
McKay and I. He looks pretty excited - I know I AM!
Kaden and McKay are such good buddise. This is usually how thier hugging works. McKay you just need to grow a little bit, then you will get head butted instead of strangled.
Ice Cream is the perfect ending to a fun day in the sun!
Ok, enjoy these movies. Maybe McKay will be a runner like his mommy! But turn down your volume--I think I just talk loud, but its a little much. Actually, its better as a silent film. :)
OK. NOW---DISNEY LAND!!
Yeah for all things Disney. I just wanna throw a shout out to that company. They provide such fun, clean and exciting things for our little guys. I loved Disney Land! I love the Disney Channel! I love Disney Movies! I love the character! Thank you Mr. Walt. You have helped the world be a better place.
Ok, anyways. We were so lucky to go with my in-laws on a road trip to Disney Land, Sea World, the Taylor Swift concert and the beach.
I had so much fun, it was just what I needed.
TAYLOR SWIFT!
We had GREAT seats. For part of the concert were were only feet away from her. She put on an AMAZING SHOW! Tom (my father in law) even had fun.
SEA WORLD AND THE BEACH!
Malcom and Mckay in the Ocean
I'm so lucky to have such an AWESOME family!
My Fun and Silly in-laws!
McKay and the dolphins. McKay's favorite was Shaumu (spelling). But I didn't get any pictures!
Ok, we can end the post now with the best
DISNEYLAND!
ToonTowne
Its in the genetic make-up for Felts to just LOVE cars. I couldn't get McKay out of this car. I think once there was a line we have a throwing, screaming fit as we pried his fingers off the steering wheel. (not pretty)
YEAH FOR HANDY MANDY!
This is the "F" in CaliFornia Adventure. Perfect for the FELT Family. And, yes, there was a better picture of Malcolm, minus the crazy face, but I didn't look as good. So you get this one... :)
We LOVE OUR FELT FAMILY! THANK YOU for inviting us to come on your trip. We had a BLAST!
Cheers and Happy summer to all of you!

Good Quote
My sister graduated yesterday--which is totally insane because she is still about 9 years in my head.
She looked radiant and beautiful. I'm so proud of her--she is so amazing!
The principle of the school read this quote. I liked it so much, I looked it up. It is interesting that Mother Teresa wrote this. I always thought of her as the perfect example of love and compassion. But, in my naivety, I never thought that all that compassion and love probably connected itself with some major opposition calling for major endurance.
This is what that poem means to me--endure!
People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered;
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind,
people may accuse you of selfish ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful,
you will win some false friends and some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank,
people may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building,
someone could destroy overnight.
Build anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness,
they may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today,
people will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have,
and it may never be enough;
Give the best you've got anyway.
it is between you and God;
it was never between you and them anyway.

Bad Habit!
I have developed a bad habit.
I can not even think about sleeping until it is after midnight. I am exhausted all day, and I tell myself:
"I'm so tired! I'm going to bed early tonight!"
9:00 rolls around and the computer comes out.
Tonight: Logistics and margins for Sole Envy
Last night: House Hunters Internationals (they were buying a house is Mexico, my in laws are moving, I thought it was relevant)
Two nights ago: America's Next Top Modal Season 5
Three nights ago: Designing a post card (marketing...) Posting on SoleEnvy.blogspot.com
ETC.
What is my problem!!!!!!!!
Anyways, since I'm up and all the sudden not tired and I haven't maxed out yet, I thought I was post a little.
My BEST FRIEND Sarah went to Italy yesterday ( the lucky brat) on the same study abroad I did. I'm feeling rather nostalgic and jealous.
I had such an amazing time when I went to Italy. It opened an entirely new chapter in life. I see the world differently due to my two month visit to Europe. Italians live differently (better if you ask me). They are so relaxed and happy. They want to be happy, they choose to be happy. They get so much fresh air, most of their living is outside. They get up early and stay out late...its awesome.
Here are some pictures of my Italian get-a-way--please enjoy and dream about what it would be like to have no responsibility, relaxing away the summer in an Italian villa ( I know that's EXACTLY what I'm doing as I am posting).
Cinceterra - (pronouced chinc wa terra : meaning the Five Cities) the most beautiful place I've seen. You Hike along the ocean side to view these beautiful cities. You have to see it to believe it.
The Bridge of Sorrows -- I thought it was quite happy. But apparently this the bridge you cross when you are a criminal in Venice about to loose your life. ( Not now silly--hundreds of years ago)
This speaks for itself. Please contact me for a world history lesson if you don't know what this famous architectural structure is.
In the Colosseum which is TEN TIMES bigger than you imagine or see in movies.
Scootering around Tuscany. It didn't get much better than that day. The landscape in Italy is simple amazing.
A Short bus ride in Florence takes you to this very quiet serene park and this is the beautiful view.
My Buddy AMBER is Venice. Isn't it amazing! I like this picture because I look carefree. I wasn't married (for those of you who are married you know this is the coolest thing, but sometimes stressful), I wasn't a mother, I wasn't a business runner/owner/work your butt of for free women, I was just carefree and happy. I'm gonna work harder to feel like that amidst my crazy life!

Sole Envy Website
I realize its probably been--say 4 months since my last post. I'm a nerd/loser, what can I say?
But, I've been working my tail off trying to build a business, be a wife, be a mom, be a friend, and post a freaking post of my blog!
This is the update of today. Malcolm has built a website for Sole Envy. SoleEnvy.com
It has some of our shoes on there, maybe 1/4. But from the pictures you can get a jist of some of the shoes we carry. Also, you can sign up for a monthly newsletter. Even if you really don't want it, support the cause! I want atleast 500 email address I can send something to. Please! We have about 100 raw ones, but hopefully we can continue to build that.
Also, give me your suggestions. You can't buy anything off the website, I just don't have enough time to deal with the whole inventory, submitting, sizing issues that come with that right now, but let me know what you think. What we can do better. If you like the shoes, if you them...you know anything.
Buying is the HARDEST job on the planet. If you (the consumer) would just standardize that would make my life easier. But no, we have too many black, too many closed toe, not enought open toe, wait actually we don't have enough black--well I like this one that you carried in Nov. how come you don't have it anymore. No, I need it for my bridesmaids and they want their names stictched into the side/sole.
Come on people! PICKY PICKY PICKY!
Although, I say it is the greatest job. Who else can say that get to buy thousands of dollars in shoes every week? Even if I don't get to wear them--I love to shop and buy, I just wish I was better at it. :(
Well, give us your suggestions.

January Update
So, I'm officially 22! I feel pretty old, even though I know that I'm not. I really feel like time is just RACING!! It's not so much that I am old, but I have this fear that because the last three years went by in a matter of minutes for me, that the next 10 years will for like a only a week.
I guess you can't stop it though right? If anyone knows how to immortalize yourself, let me know. 22 is a pretty good age for me.
So, birthday..I got MY VERY OWN CAMERA!! This may come as a shock, but I've been using Malcolms big Cannon something or other that is just big with lenses and settings. Needless to say, if you choose to use this, you choose to not take very many pictures. So, now I have one I can just put in my purse and snap, snap, snap whenever I want!
So, here is a pic of my camera:
Also, Jan has been good for Sole Envy. Its been really SLOW! But, we're making our goals and finding the breathing time a little relaxing. I did an AMAZING window display, if I am allowed to say that. I snapped some pictures, and I am very proud. I'm still not sold on the window with the large graphic so if you have a suggestion let me know!

Happy Holidays
Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, Happy Three Kings Day??
I was at Walmart today getting my grocery shopping done, and apparently there is a Mexican? holiday that we are totally not celebrating--three kings day. It makes sense and all, but why would I want my picture taken with three creepy Walmart dressed up at the three kings of orienet?I was getting my produce, and a women with a camera kept asking me if I wanted to get a picture of McKay with these men.
I was so utterly confused because I didn't know what the holiday was until my smart husband informed later that day when I got home.I just think that maybe we are trying to drag the holidays out a little too long.
ANYWAYS...I've been doing some reflecting about 2008. It always seems to happen that way, I wait a whole year to realize how stupid I've been..Here are some things I've learned:
1. Relationships are better than jobs. No matter how much money you make, and how many things you accomplish at the end of the day its always nice to have someone to talk to. I'm not really speaking about Malcolm, I'm talking about friends. So--to all my long lost friends. (i.e. Sarah and Branigan) I'm sorry that I fell off the face of the planet with this SOle ENvy business! I'm going to try and do better.
2. You will always regret the mean things you say--even if it those mean things were well deserved. This year has been very stressful and eventful, and I only regret one day. The day I blew up at a friend. Man, she deserved it, but I feel terrible.
3. Kids are the shizzle BEST! I love my baby who is not so much a baby anymore. I love his hugs and his kisses and his smiles and his mischeif! McKay is a little hellion now, but I just LOVE HIM! I can't believe how incomplete my life was for so long. I'm so glad I have the opportunity to be a mom. I know that I will always have this urge to work work work and have a career, but you just can't replace the moment you have with your kids.
4. I HAVE THE BEST HUSBAND EVER! i know all the other women in the world think that, but I really do. How great is it to have a husband, a best friend, and a business partner all in one person!
5. There is always room for improvement. My birthday is on the fifth, and I'm so glad that I have another year to improve and become a better person. Twenty Two feel really old, and heavens I don't want to get older, but a wise friend told me in my despair, that "I'm not getting younger, So I might as well enjoy the young age while I can." So thats what I'm going to do!
So...you live and you learn! HAPPY NEW YEAR!
